Project 3A -- Object Creation - A Free-Form Sculpture

Beginning, i really have no any idea about the "SCULPTURE" this word. My brain became blank when i knew this was my project 3A.

I discuss with my friends and then i decided to make a sculpture by used the concept of TREE.

The material i had used were silvertone wire and the polystrene.

First, i twisted and hammered each wire end then shaped whole tree with my hands. After that, i cut the wire in half and then cut in half again so there have four wires of the same length. Next, twist two wires together, leaving some of the wire untwisted at the top and bottom. Then twist two at a time once all wires are paired up. Do it again with another one until have no any more loose wire left. Lastly, twist around tree and have it stick outwards.

 

The story behind :
The small tree represents the youngster who are still in growth phase. They are pure and honest just like the snow. While those three circles represent the people of different classes who are skillful and experienced. Their responsibility are to protect the youngster.
