Project 8 -- RUS 104 Night and Live Performance

This is the last project of sem 1.
The theme of the performance night is "THE LOST KINGDOMS".

Based on this project, each major had to represent the specific Nusantare kingdoms, as follow:

1. Architecture -- Srivijaya
2. Interior Design -- Singhasari
3. Urban & Region Planning -- Langkasuka
4. Quantity Surveying -- Majapahit
5. Building Surveying -- Pagaruyung
6. Construction Management -- Riau Lingga
7. Building Technology -- Mataram

I am a Building Surveying student. So, we had to prepare the performance based on the culture of Pagaruyung.

ABOUT THE PAGARUYUNG KINGDOM......
Pagaruyung (also Pagarruyung, Pagar Ruyung and, Malayapura or Malayupura) was the seat of the Minangkabau kings of Western Sumatra, though little is known about it. Modern Pagaruyung is a village in Tanjung Emas subdistrict, Tanah Datar regency, located near the town of Batusangkar, Indonesia.

In the end, we decided to perform the drama with traditional dance and combine with modern dance to make it more interesting.

Since each kingdom need to provide their own flag, so we have to prepare and design one.

 

This is our PARARUYUNG's panji! Our represent colour was black and gold. It looks grandeur!

Finally, it's the day!! RUS 104 Night!!! (20/12/2013) at DKD.

 

The performance night started with each Kingdom walking into the hall followed one by one. It was very excited and feel great to see each Kingdom had do their best on their performance. We only have less than 5 days to prepare and practice but all of us had did the good job indeed!

The best performance on that night was belong to Srivijaya Kingdom. Their performance was really amazing and attracted!! Congratulation to them!!

Besides, our BS's banner had get the third prize for the previous project (Exhibition). 

It was how a great night!!

 It was a memorable night for us.

 Finally, this awesome night came to the end. That mean our studio life of first sem was over too. Our studio life had made many great and funny memories. ^.^ Really appreciate these memories with you guys no matter you are from Archi, QS, CM, Planning or BT. This semester was the first and also the last opportunity for all our first year student to do the studio work together. We have to separate into design and non-design in next sem, but i believe our friendship will last long.
